Digitise a Tape R120 Convert a video tape (or disc) to a digital video file.
We convert all major video tape and disc formats. We deliver the converted digital video files in the best matching resolution using the widest standard (for the techies – mp4 container files with H.264 and AAC codecs); ensuring they can be played on almost any device.
Our fees are per-tape, independent of how long the converted video is.
We offer 1% discount off your total invoice per video tape, up to a maximum of 15% (so 15 tapes or more)
Optional extras:
- Memory stick R120USB memory stick or microSD card.
We provide your converted video on a USB memory stick (for playing on most computers and TVs) or a microSD card (for Android phones and tablets). Can fit at least 12 long videos. If you prefer to use your own, please ensure it is empty so we can format if needed. - Split video into Scene files R60 Auto-detect scenes and put them in separate video files.
Using our custom scene-splitting software, we can chop your long videos into smaller chunks (scenes) so that you can easily focus on your favorite video clips to watch and share. Our automated process attempts to detect each time the original recording was started or stopped – ideal for home videos - Burn to DVD/CD R120 Burn your converted video to a DVD or audio to CD.
Get your video burned to a DVD disc that can be played in any standard DVD player. We can burn your converted audio to a CD. Note that audio CDs can only hold 75-80 min of audio, so if you have a 90 or 120 min audio cassette, each side will need to be burnt to their own CD. Need more than one copy? No problem at only R60 per disc burned. - Tape Repair R120 Repair a broken taple.
Sometimes a tape is broken already or breaks during capture. This is usually due to age and storage conditions. Not to worry – we offer a repair service and will even transplant your magnetic tape into a new cassette. Only R120 per repair and we won’t charge if we can’t repair.
